As an individual invested in facilitating the professional growth of others and elevating the level of forensic evaluation work, Dr. Kafka is available to provide group trainings and individualized training and consultation to both experienced and early career forensic psychologists and psychiatrists, those considering the transition from clinical to forensic work, and students. She is also available to provide group trainings on the elements of sound forensic reports to aid attorneys in selecting capable evaluators and identifying problematic ones.

Dr. Kafka is available to provide both court-appointed and private evaluations of criminal defendants in matters related to mental health diversion, criminal responsibility, sentencing, competency to stand trial, Franklin proceedings, community outpatient treatment readiness (i.e., CONREP suitability), risk to the community (e.g., suitability for probation, diversion, or release on bail), and other legal questions. She is a member of the Los Angeles County Panel of Psychiatrists and Psychologists and has also been qualified as an expert in numerous other California counties and jurisdictions in Minnesota and Florida. As of January 2021, she is also accepting Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Federal Court appointments, as well.
